Fiction is much more than literature from the imagination for authors Anne Bishop and Patricia Briggs . “It’s a place to explore,” Bishop said in a phone interview last Thursday from her home in western New York. “It also is a way to step back from the world we live in, which can be very hard. … I want to entertain people and give them some breathing space from real life, but also explore some things that maybe we should think about, and fiction allows me to do those.” The novelists will take their latest fictional works set for release Tuesday on a combined tour next week, stopping at Barnes and Noble in Orem on Wednesday for a discussion and signing .
