The film will go wide as intend­ed next week­end they decid­ed snag a mighty per-screen-aver­age first and build some buzz for what is sure­ly the date night/​- movie of the sum­mer. It shares that dis­tinc­tion with Paramount/​Viacom Inc.’s An Incon­ve­nient Sequel: Truth Pow­er which also opens in plat­form release tomor­row. Wow, the Arclight is going be a par­ty this week­end. This will be Annapurna’s first the­atri­cal release after pro­duc­ing the likes of Zero Dark Thir­ty for the dis­tri­b­u­tion of oth­ers. Megan Ellison’s com­pa­ny has quick­ly built a rep­u­ta­tion for rea­son­ably-bud­get­ed, high-end adult-skew­ing pres­tige enter­tain­ments, like Zero Dark Thir­ty , Amer­i­can Hus­tle and 20 th Cen­tu­ry Women (you can argue that the the­o­log­i­cal satire Sausage Par­ty counts as well).
